🤝 Abortion access needs worker power

Why have hundreds of Planned Parenthood workers in the Midwest unionized?

I spoke with a Planned Parenthood North Central States admin worker (who is now a senior manager) on why they decided to organize their workplace, and on the intersections between reproductive rights and workers’ rights. You can read my story here.


🏥 Nurses make their next move

Nurses with the Minnesota Nurses Association, who have been negotiating a contract for eight months, announced last week they will be conducting another strike authorization vote on November 30. This follows a three-day strike in September, and the announcement of a proposed merger between the Sanford and Fairview health systems.


☕ #RedCupRebellion

Workday Magazine covered the nationwide Starbucks strike yesterday. So far, 257 shops have unionized, but Starbucks has refused to bargain in good faith and has retaliated against union stores and baristas.
